Day 22, cinematic creepers, and toady’s feature for your viewing pleasure is the 2017 release Don’t Kill It. The film deals with a demon running rampant through a small Mississippi town. Enter demon hunter Jebediah Woodley (Dolph Lundgren), who teams up with an FBI agent (Kristina Klebe) to put a stop to the carnage. Problem is, the demon inhabits the body of the person killing its prior host, so how do you stop something you don’t dare kill? 7/10 stars

This is one of those fun horror movies to view, with plenty of bloody violence and just the right amount of nudity and humor mixed in. Director Mike Mendez (Big Ass Spider!, The Gravedancers) keeps the action coming at a good clip, with plenty of satisfying gory make-up effects. Lundgren (The Expendables, Aquaman, Creed II) is a lot of fun to watch as demon hunter Woodley, and seems at home in these type of B-movie roles. Klebe (Halloween, Proxy, and the upcoming Hellboy reboot) is fine as agent Evelyn Pierce, a woman whose past holds a secret. The rest of the cast more or less serve as fodder for the demonic carnage, but it all works to make this an entertaining watch. Now showing on Netflix and available on Blu-ray/DVD.
