As per DC Comics:

The original 1966 Batman t.v show staring Adam West as Batman and Burt Ward as Robin, will FINALLY be released for Home Video in 2014.

The series licensing rights had been the subject of many long standing legal battles which had prevented this from happening sooner. However a line of toys as well as a new digital comic series had been recently released leading to speculation that this was coming. Many fans can now rejoice as this campy satirical version of the Dark Knight will finally be available to purchase and own for the first time.

Though the tone was not as gritty as it was today, Batman and Robin were plenty of fun!

The series included all time classic portrayals of villains such as Penguin (Burgess Meredith), Riddler (Frank Gorshin), Catwoman (Lee Meriwether (in above picture)) and the Joker (Cesar Romero..with his mustache)
