Halo 5: Guardians’ Agent Locke Unmasked

Today we’ve got our first look at the face of the brand new character 343i has been teasing. Up until now we’ve only known him as Agent Locke; appearing on the official Halo 5: Guardians box-art, and in the E3 trailer for Halo: The Master Chief Collection. Like Master Chief through all the Bungie years, Agent Locke’s face has been completely hidden by his helmet until today.

Mike Colter, whose most recent work includes roles in The Following, American Horror Story, and The Good Wife will be playing Agent Locke in the Ridley Scott produced Halo: Nightfall. Not much is known about the show except that it will act as a pseudo-prequel to Halo 5: Guardians; although 343 has said it’s not required viewing to enjoy and understand the upcoming game.

This is obviously not an in-game render of the character, but an actual photograph of the actor. But given the advancements in motion capture technology in recent years, it’s not out of the question that the Agent Locke we’ll see in the final game might look quite similar to Mike Colter.

Halo 5: Guardians will be released in 2015, while Halo: Nightfall will be released alongside the Master Chief Collection this fall.
