Next month sees the release of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, the prologue game that will lead the way for Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain. And according to Game Informer’s latest print edition, you can finish the campaign – not including side quests or other modes – in less than two hours.

“Judged just by the core story mission, Ground Zeroes is short,” Game Informer wrote on the cover story, continuing to say that they “completed it in just less than two hours.” Ground Zeroes’ is Kojima’s project to keep gamers playing something before The Phantom Pain is released. Kojima has stated that the reason behind the split of the game was the launch of the PlayStation 4, but that The Phantom Pain will be much larger than the prologue.

“Metal Gear Solid V is going to be a huge, a massive scale game,” said Kojima. “So the development is taking some time. That said, PS4 is launching now and it’s big.” “We at least wanted to release a prologue so that people get to know what people will be, experience a chunk of the story. So that guided our decision to move forward at this time.” he completed.

Ground Zeroes is out on March 18th, for $20 digitally on Xbox 360 and PS3, with physical copies going for $30 on both platforms. The next-gen version is $30 digitally, and $40 physically.
