The NPD sales numbers for March are in, and while Titanfall was the best selling game of the month, it wasn’t enough to push the Xbox One to the top spot, as the PlayStation 4 remains ahead of Microsoft’s console.

As announced yesterday, 7 million people have bought PS4, and today Microsoft revealed revealed that 5 million Xbox Ones have been sold-in to retail, but don’t mistake that for sold to consumers, that means Sony’s console has a significant lead, over 2 million units ahead of its competition.

It was also revealed that the attach rate of games per console for Xbox One owners is 2.9, and 2.93 for PlayStation 4 owners. Total software sales $432 million, with hardware sales increasing 3% since March of last year, achieving $1.025 billion.
