QUICK TIME REVIEWS: Fire Pro Wrestling World

Posted September 11, 2018 by Andrew Semicek in Video Games

Welcome to Quick Time Reviews (or QTR for short!). On these posts a We The Nerdy member reviews the first few hours of a game to determine if it’s worth your time. Games will be graded with a Yay (worth it) Meh (worth looking at via a rental or discounted price) or Nay (don’t even bother).

What’s it about:

  • Huge roster out of the box
  • New Japan Wrestling inclusion
  • Controls feel more No Mercy (N64) than they do Smackdown vs Raw
  • Characters are all well animated
  • So many match variables
  • Near endless amount of character, ring, and belt creations
  • Matches feel exhilarating and tense
  • CPU can put up quite a challenge
  • Career mode is a blast

  • Random lack of key New Japan Wrestlers
  • Controls not as spot on to gauge running moves and distance between people
  • When playing local tag team matches its hard to discern who is selecting whom

Is it worth your time?
