Snyder Releases New Information About Batman v Superman

Zack Snyder, Man of Steel’s director, has released more information about his upcoming film Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The piece, originally posted in USA Today, focuses on Superman’s role in the film and his evolution after Man of Steel. Henry Cavill is returning in his role as Superman, and Snyder has been trying to capture his adjustment to a changing world.

“Really digging in and evolving the character — both as Clark and as Superman — is a challenge,” Snyder says, “but there’s also the fun of trying to figure out what to put in front of him that’s difficult.”

Superman will have some new heroes joining him in this film, including Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher). Of course, Batman will feature heavily in the film as well. Ben Affleck is the newest incarnation of Gotham’s hero, but he will be playing an older, grumpier version of Batman.

Snyder’s new information also included a few locales that will be visited, including Metropolis and Gotham City. In addition, Superman’s perspective on Earth will change after visiting Gotham, meeting new heroes, and dealing with Lex Luthor.

I’m quite interested to see the how Affleck’s version of Batman compares to Christian Bale’s, but I’m more interested to see how Gotham City compares to other iterations. What are you most excited for in Batman v Superman?
