Dick Grayson. Former sidekick. Former Super Hero. Former dead man. And now…agent of Spyral?! Sounds like a good premise no? Well, it depends on how you look at it. You could say, former dead man! But I seem to remember quite a few people seeing him alive at the end of Forever Evil so it won’t be long till one of those superheroes gives the game away. Also Dick Grayson with a gun seems quite odd. But hey ho! This still sounds pretty cool and the last issue of Nightwing really set up this new solo series nicely. If you are going to pick this up and you didn’t read the last issue of Nightwing, then go do so as you probably won’t have any idea what is going on. From the previews, this looks pretty different from Nightwing specifically the art work, it seems very bright. And as the solicit infers, we may know Nightwing but how well do we know Dick? I am pretty sure this series will help us get to know him! If you have been a fan of the first Robin since his heyday and have followed his career throughout then I am sure you are already sold on this book! But for newbies, why should you check this out? Well not only has Dick Grayson got a super-cool haircut! He’s also a dead man walking hiding in plain sight away from his ‘family’ so surely we will be in for a lot of action and emotions. It has it all apparently!!

Spider-Man 2099 #1

Written by: Peter David

Art by: Wil Sliney

It has been a while since Spider-Man 2099 graced our pages in his own comic, having recently made a re-appearance in Dan Slott’s Superior Spider-Man run. Any way, he is back with original creator and writer Peter David at the helm. Big News! Miguel O’Hara is stuck in 2014 following recent events, and is gonna try and take down Alchamex before corruption can set in and the future doomed! Wil Sliney on arts is also bound to be a treat, with his work on Superior Spider-Man Team up gaining him great applause.

Ghosted11_CoverGhosted #11

For some reason I don’t hear nearly enough people talking about Ghosted! It’s a seriously stellar book, from king of the indies Joshua Williamson. With Volume one and two now out in all good book shops, everyone should have had ample time to have a quick catch up prior to this new issue being released. Issue 11 hopefully will pick up directly after the close of vol.2. Jackson believes that the events from the Haunted House are as far in the past as they could be, but with the way issue 10 ended that is far from the case, and with Anderson still lurking around in the “shadows” Jackson better keep on his toes. Also, that cover is gorgeous!

Which books are you looking forward to this Wednesday, let us know in the comments……
