Thirteen years in the making and the sequel to the 2010 game, Alan Wake 2 goes the survival horror route. The game has you play two characters- FBI agent Saga Anderson and Alan Wake. The game has plenty of Easter eggs connecting to other Remedy titles, primarily the game Control. While the game has dialogue options, there is only one true ending, and there is a post credits scene.

PROS
Great story
Excellent voice acting
Great music and visuals
Unique missions
CONS
Some technical issues
Gameplay can be frustrating in places
Linear

After waiting for so long, Alan Wake 2 delivers a worthy sequel with a great story, excellent voice acting, music, and visuals. The game stumbles a bit with some technical issues (sound can go out in spots) and some frustrating gameplay due to limited movement (characters can not climb or jump except where prompted) and confusing direction on where to go next. The unique missions make it worth your while, especially with connecting to a larger shared Remedy universe.
