Steam gained 10M users since October

Valve has announced today that their games service, Steam, has gained impressive 10 million users in the past three months. That’s a 15% growth since the last report, which was in October, that the service was at 65 million users. The annoucement happened on Valve’s Dev Day summit, happening throughout this week.

Alongside the users announcement, Valve also revealed the geographic breakdown of its 2013 sales revenue. North America sits at the top with 41%, followed by Western Europe with 40%. Oceania and Russian Territories sit at 5%, with South America and Asia with mere, 2% and 3% respectively. Russia and Brazil (home country!)  experienced the largest growth in 2013. Russia had a 128% increase, and Brazil had a 75% increase compared to their revenues in 2012.
