The defensive rankings are winding down, and the outside linebackers are the latest position to be revealed. Outside linebackers may not have the big name value like their middle linebacker brethren, but they are extremely important to the pass rush.
Von Miller of the Denver Broncos is the highest rated outside linebacker in Madden 15, based mostly on his ability to chase down quarterbacks. The entire top 5 are listed below.
1) Von Miller (Denver Broncos) – 96 Overall
2) Aldon Smith (San Francisco 49ers) – 96 Overall
3) Justin Houston (Kansas City Chiefs) – 93 Overall
4) Lavonte David (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) – 93 Overall
5) Robert Mathis (Indianapolis Colts) – 93 Overall
This top 5 has some big name value, but I have to wonder if it will be changed before Madden’s release based on potential legal issues with Aldon Smith. We could possibly see a new name jump into the top 5 if any suspensions happen.
Madden 15 will be released August 26.
