Built on a revised version of the Quake engine, Wrath: Aeon of Ruin is a retro first person shooter. Players step into the shoes of a mysterious stranger who arrives on a mysterious island. It’s a single player game, composed of three hub worlds each containing five levels.
PROS
Fast paced action
Open levels
CONS
Loose controls
Frustrating combat
Poor checkpoints
Generic story
For some, Wrath: Aeon of Ruin will provide some entertainment, especially fans of retro shooters like the original Quake and Doom. It has fast paced action, with open ended levels and upgrades. Others may be frustrated by the loose controls, weak combat, and poor checkpoints. An odd save system doesn’t help much. Definitely not for everyone, but may satisfy more hardcore fans of retro shooters.
