Birds of Prey arrive in Arrow

The popular TV show, Arrow, will introduce yet another element from the DC Universe to its already rich roster of characters. The Birds of Prey, a group of female super heroes that go in secret missions around the globe, will be introduced in the upcoming “Birds of Prey” (duh) episode, premiering March 26th.  Helena Bertinelli (Jessica de Gouw), aka The Huntress, will return to Starling City seeking revenge against her father, but will have to defeat the Arrow (Stephen Amell) and Black Canary (Caity Lotz).

Both Huntress and Black Canary are two of the most popular members of the Birds of Prey, that was funded by Barbara Gordon, as Oracle, and Black Canary. This might mean we’ll see other members such as Batgirl, Katana, or even Posion Ivy, being introduced to Arrow’s universe in the future. There was a Birds of Prey TV show in 2002, but it found no sucess and was canceled the following year. “We consider Jessica a member of the Arrow family and we’re looking forward to having her back for an episode everyone will be talking about after,” executive producer Marc Guggenheim told TVGuide.
