Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition Announced

Today, Capcom has surprised us with the announcement of two games to grace the current generation of consoles. DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition and Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition are to make their rounds to the Xbox One and Playstation 4.

Several details have been talked about for DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition. On top of the campaign, it is also to come with “Vergil’s Downfall” and the “Bloody Palace” downloadable contents. This edition is not only to allow for a 1080p resolution at 60 fps on both consoles, but to include several new features as well. The features listed:

* Vergil’s Bloody Palace – Much like the previous Bloody Palace mode included, this time you’ll get to play against 60 waves of enemies as Dante’s twin brother, Vergil.

* Rebalanced combat system – Developers Ninja Theory have rebalanced combat and enemies based on fan feedback. This includes a manual lock-on system.

* New Modes – Hardcore mode, Must Style mode, Gods Must Die mode, and Turbo mode.

* New Costumes – Inspired by the classic Devil May Cry character designs

DmC Devil May Cry: Definitive Edition is due out March 17th, 2015 both retail and digitally for the price of $39.99.

Aside from the announcement, no details or dates were given for Devil May Cry 4: Special Edition.DmCDE_screens_06
