So Nintendo started with a hilarious Robot Chicken animation. Followed by an all out brawl between Reggie and Iwata. This really set the tone for a fun and unique conference.
The first announcement was Mii Fighter for Smash Brothers. It comes in 3 forms, Mii Brawler, Mii Swordfighter, and Mii Gunner. Each type has a customizable moveset.
They then announced their NFC Figure Platform amiibo. Which will work with multiple games including Smash Bros, and even eventually Mario Kart 8
Nintendo followed that up with the official name and a full reveal of Yarn Yoshi now known as Yoshi’s Wooly World.
They also announced Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker a full game seemingly based off the Toad levels from Super Mario 3D World:
Anouma talked about how the Wii U Zelda will be a vast open game where you can choose where to go then showed off a Gorgeous trailer for the Wii U Zelda:
They also showed off Mario Maker, a game where you create your own Mario levels:
As well as Kirby and the Rainbow Curse:
X is now Xenoblade Chronicles X and got a new trailer:
Baynotta 2 is now confirmed to come with the original Bayonetta and got a trailer:
Hyrule Warriors got a new trailer as well:
Nintendo then had a huge reveal for a brand new ip called Splatoon a 4vs4 Onnline Multiplayer 3rd person shooter:
They announced Palutena for Smash
And ended on Miyamoto teasing things to come later while playing Wii U Star Fox!
All in all this was a stellar event. Lots of new info on games we already knew about. And some fantastic surprises. The event itself was full of charm thanks to Robot Chicken’s hilarious animation sequences, and the focus on Developers with their announcements. The Wii U is looking good. And should have a bright future if not in sales in Great and unique games.
