You’d better watch out, you’d better not cry. You’d better not pout, I’m telling you why. Santa 47 is assassinating your town.
He’s not making a list because that’s for amateurs.
In possibly the most exciting news for Hitman fans, IO-Interactive revealed Tuesday that a new–and free–mission would be released on December 13th. Set in an overhauled version of Paris, “Holiday Hoarders” tasks 47 with a very Home Alone-esque objective.
“Two thieves have gained entrance to the fashion show event and are stealing the presents. As Agent 47, it’s your job to stop them, for good. If you are able to get to the presents first, feel free to open them and use whatever you find inside to help eliminate these two sticky bandits…”
As the trailer reveals, this will be the first opportunity to dress 47 up as Santa Claus since Blood Money. However, this version looks decidedly less intoxicated. The most exciting aspect is that the presents contain usable items for the mission. Here’s hoping that goofy weapons can be used to dispose of the two thieves.
Although technically free, one purpose of this holiday release is to raise money for the World Cancer Research Fund. IO-Interactive is hoping that players of this mission will donate whatever they can in support of the worthy cause.

Of course, “Holiday Hoarders” is only one part of the December content release schedule. IO also revealed that two more Elusive Targets would appear this month, one in Sapienza and the other in Bangkok. These challenges will all come later in the month, but this Thursday brings a very exciting and new opportunity for assassins. Starting December 8th, 47 will be heading to Sapienza to take part in the Master Sniper Challenge Pack. Completing the five sniper challenges will unlock the special Jaeger 7 Covert rifle.
While IO won’t say what the challenges are, the developer did release an image with multiple hints for your perusal.

The December content schedule kicks off Thursday, December 8th, with the Challenge Pack. “Holiday Hoarders” will be available starting Tuesday, December 13th.
