Variety is reporting that actor Josh Brolin has been cast as the villain Thanos. First seen in the post-credits scene of Marvel’s “The Avengers,” Thanos is expected to appear in Guardians of the Galaxy later this year and in future films in a growing role.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, directed by James Gunn, opens August 1st, 2014, and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel.
