My Little Pony Friendship is Magic

The strange, and probably sad, thing is, I’ve reviewed more MLP:FiM comics for We The Nerdy than any other series. I’ll fully admit right now that not all of them are good, and in fact, there are probably more terrible issues than fantastic ones. However, the way IDW handles the comic series is awesome, giving a slew of different artists and authors a chance to shine, and no matter the end outcome, each issue has at least something fun or charming to it.
After all, we are talking about ponies!
I’ll happily shrug away the bad issues because there’s always enough good to be found here to make it all worthwhile. There’s also always something new to be had, every month, without fail. Equestria is a huge world with tons of characters, and the various writers for MLP:FiM have really taken advantage of that, from pairing Princess Luna with Discord to revamping a some favorite Christmas stories into Equestrian tales, to dropping killer, space-alien apples onto Applejack’s farm, there’s never a dull moment.
And even when the writing is subpar, the artwork never is. Holy crap are the artists working on this series fantastic! I want to give a big shoutout to Katie Cook, Brenda Hickey, and Jay Fosgitt for never failing to impress me.
