News was revealed yesterday that there would be a second season of Fargo, albeit one that won’t air until at least 2015. However, the writer-producer of Fargo, Noah Hawley, has provided details about the new main characters.
Hawley has said that the second season will be focused on Lou Solverson, the former police officer and Molly’s father from season one. Solverson was played by Keith Carradine during the first season, but Carradine most likely won’t make a return seeing how the Solverson from season two will be 33-years old. In addition to providing more information about Solverson, Fargo will also introduce Molly’s mother and explain what happened to her.
Hawley provided one final piece of information in that the second season of Fargo will take inspiration from three different Coen brothers films-Fargo, Miller’s Crossing, and The Man Who Wasn’t There.
Season two of Fargo will go into production in January with the show set to premier sometime in 2015.
