In a recent interview with Newsarama, Geoff Johns has unveiled that he will be bringing Ted Kord back into the DC Universe with April’s Forever Evil #7. From here, he will be involved in Justice League, one of the many changes being made to the book. In the interview, Johns’ exact words were:
“Ted Kord returns to the DCU in Forever Evil #7, and plays a role in Justice League post-Forever Evil.”
We do not know whether or not he will be donning the Blue Beetle costume. However, with Jaime Reyes already existing in The New 52, this may be unlikely for the time being. A more likely scenario is that he is the new guy in charge of A.R.G.U.S. whom he hinted at in the same interview.
