Two extremely anticipated games have been delayed in their release; The Evil Within and The Order: 1886. The latter is a Playstation 4 exclusive title that was supposed to snag gamers during the holiday season. However, it now looks like the game will be releasing in 2015, according to some sources.
The Evil Within is a horror game that previews deemed utterly terrifying. The game, published by Bethesda, has been pushed back to October this year. Bethesda reportedly said they needed the time to refine the game. Fans will be disappointed to hear about the delay of both games.
Bad news bears all around.
The Order makes Sony look slim this year in the way of compelling software for the PS4 (1080p/60fps can only sell so many third party titles)
Evil Within has just been thrown to the wolves of October. That month is CROWDED! Yikes…
Yeah, Evil Within is probably going to get slaughtered. That said, I think delaying it was probably a good idea, if it needs refinement, better to give it that refinement rather than release a half baked game. We saw how both Watch Dogs and Wolfenstein turned out with delays, if The Evil Within can achieve that kind of jump in quality as a result of a delay, it can only be beneficial.
I’m fine with a two month delay for Evil Within. It’s probably just some bugs that needed to get worked out. That is probably going to negatively impact the sales though with all that’s coming out that month.
