TV Guide is reporting that Amy Acker is set to guest star on an upcoming episode of Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD. No stranger to starring in shows produced by Joss Whedon, Acker has previously appeared in Angel, Dollhouse, and most recently Much Ado About Nothing.
She is set to play the Cellist(name unknown for now), an important person from Coulson’s past. If you can recall, she was much talked about, but never seen, in Marvel’s The Avengers as Agent Coulson’s potential love interest that ended their relationship before it could start by moving to Portland. Not much is known other than her occupation, but it will be interesting to see the impact it has on Coulson in light of the revelations of newfound life.
The episode is set to air Tuesday, April 22nd at 8/7c on ABC
