Square is bringing back Final Fantasy Type-0 for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One, as well as releasing Final Fantasy Agito for iOS and Android devices.
Square detailed the news about Type-0—originally released for Playstation Portable in 2011—and explained that fans made this release happen.
“The voice of our Western fans was instrumental in the development of FINAL FANTASY TYPE-0, and we’re very excited to release this title soon,” said Hajime Tabata, director of FINAL FANTASY TYPE-0. “The new PlayStation®4 system and Xbox One gaming and entertainment platform have really helped to re-envision this dynamic and turbulent world of Orience.”
Originally released in Japan, Final Fantasy Agito is a mobile game set in the land of Orience, in which the player is a cadet working towards becoming the savior of Orience, known as Agito. Final Fantasy Agito will include fully-customizable characters, player decisions, and large-scale cooperative battles. The world of Final Fantasy Agito will be populated by players around the world using their mobile devices.
No release date was given for Final Fantasy Type-0 or Final Fantasy Agito. The news did state that Agito would be free to download, but it would include in-app purchases.
