Pros
- Great visual upgrade from the PS1 original.
- Gameplay retains that excellent Front Mission style the series is known for.
- Great story with strong characters.
Cons
- Lack of voice acting hampers some of the scenes.
- Even on easy mode it van be frustrating even in the early hours.
- Longer than expected load times, even on PS5.
In Summary
Front Mission 2 was one of those bucket list games I’ve wanted to play for a while, and this remake allows me to check it off my list. However, while the visual presentation is great the lack of voice acting for a game like this holds it back, especially when the price is $40 there is a feeling that its so close to achieving what the original wanted. Sadly while this game is great I’d wait for a sale to pick it up.
