Wrapping up E3, we have some cringe-worthy moments at the expo (#4), top social mentions from E3 2017 (#12), and a dance-off between Sonic and Crash! (#16). And definitely check out post #15 about Detroit: Become Human. I thought that was an interesting article. Anyways, Enjoy!

10- Ubisoft details Beyond Good and Evil 2 behind closed doors E3 2017 demo (Source: Gematsu Sal Romano)
Our first glimpse of the game is of the massive statue of the elephant-headed god Ganesh seen in the teaser trailer. It’s so big that it dwarfs that also-gigantic pirate spaceship seen at the trailer’s end, which floats in front of it as the trailer’s city stretches out to the horizon far below.
“This is really huge,” Ancel says, as he pulls in close to the pirate ship using his controller. This, he says, is fully controllable, and will be your home in Beyond Good and Evil 2. It’s also your crew’s home, as well as a garage for smaller, customizable spaceships that you can also control.
The ship’s prow opens, and one of those smaller ships floats out. “Here, it’s a generic ship, with basic controls,” says Ancel. “And I just want to show you the scale…”

Reggie Fils-Aime, president of Nintendo of America, is at E3 in Los Angeles this week to promote Nintendo’s latest resurgence and hype people up on the coming year of Switch and 3DS games. But he’s also ready to field questions, and we had a bunch.
After grilling the man, here are some of our key findings.
14- Devolver loses $100K on banned E3 festival (Source: Polygon Colin Campbell)
Devolver co-founder Mike Wilson claims that E3 organizer Entertainment Software Association is to blame for his loss. In a statement to Polygon, an ESA spokesperson strenuously denied this allegation.
Austin-based Devolver, best known for marketing and publishing indie games, generally camps in a parking lot behind the Hooters restaurant on Figueroa Street. That lot is owned by a private company which has a long-standing relationship with Devolver. The Entertainment Software Association, which organizes E3, derives no revenue from off-site activities that piggy-back the show
15- Despite Political Overtones, David Cage Says Detroit is Mostly About Androids (Source: Kotaku Nathan Grayson)
The scene sure seems to be weighing in on protests and violence, but with all the subtlety of a brick through a window. Detroit is a game about a subjugated group asserting their humanity and trying to gain freedom from people who want to use them for service. It’s hard not to draw parallels to slavery, racism and events going on around the world. Despite this, however, director David Cage told me that he’s not trying to make a game with an overtly political message, nor is he heavily drawing on real world history or politics as influences.
