Behold! I have been tasked with creating a list of my 50 favorite games of all time.
Now, you should know that these are not the highest rated games. Instead, I have chosen the 50 games that have meant a lot to me for various reasons. You will probably have some issues with my choices (I will admit I chose some weird games), but that’s why they are mine. Trust me, I have my reasons for choosing these games.
With that in mind, let’s get this show on the road!
40) Star Wars: Rogue Squadron
Rogue Squadron finally gave me the opportunity to complete the Trench Run while flying almost any ship from Star Wars, including a Naboo fighter.
39) Sleeping Dogs
This game played like a supercharged Jackie Chan movie, and I could kill enemies simply by throwing a fish at them.
38) Assassins Creed IV Black Flag
Black Flag let me hang out with Blackbeard, search for buried treasure, and take over islands while my crew sang sea shanties. Man, Edward is dreamy. Should my wife be jealous?
37) Final Fantasy III
The first RPG I ever played, and I still love it. That opera house level was intense.
36) Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
This game gave me four-player Coop with all of my favorite superheroes while following Marvel’s Civil War storyline. Obviously, Captain America was right for fighting against the government.
35) South Park the Stick of Truth
The Stick of Truth is a perfect example of what can happen when a licensed property is created with a lot of dedication and even more vulgar jokes.
34) Base Wars
Base Wars was an NES baseball game with fighting Robots!!! The tie only goes to the runner if he can destroy the baseman in battle.
33) Freelancer
A fantastic flight sim set in a galaxy where you can take on missions, destroy pirates, and complete the campaign with some friends.
32) Starcraft
The first strategy game that I really played, and it changed LAN parties forever. Nuclear Launch detected. You just panicked a little, didn’t you?
31) Deus Ex: Human Revolution
The main character was terrible, but the multiple options for completing missions were fantastic. Plus, you could kill a guy by throwing a refrigerator at him. I loved the futuristic world.
