Marvel fans can anticipate a even higher leveler off authenticity with the upcoming Netlfix projects, as Marvel Studios has announced they will film their upcoming Netflix projets in New York City. Thw Wall Street Journal first reported the news.
The Netflix series which this pertains to are the upcoming projects: ” Daredevil”, “Jessica Jones”, “Luke Cage”, “Iron Fist” which are all 13 episodes each and then leading into a team up project known as ” The Defenders” which will be 8 episodes. The studio will film the entirety of all he series in New York, meaning a grand total of 60 episodes will be filmed in the big apple.

Most of Marvel’s hero core is based in New York City, thus giving these series an added sense of realism (as much as you can get with super heroes). New York city is an expensive place to film, however with Disney and Marvel money backing these projects it is not surprising the studio would go the extra mile.

Daredevil is the first of these shows to be released, which has tentative 2015 release date.
