Craig Schulz, son of Charles announced today that there will be a Peanuts movie coming out in November 2015.
In a press release he stated…
”It’s long overdue…………..The fans have been asking for a long time, but we held off until the time was right.
Long overdue indeed, the last time there was a feature length Peanuts presentation was Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (and Don’t Come Back) which was released in 1980. Plot details are being kept under wraps for now, with Craig stating
it’s about a round-headed kid and his dog, and that’s about as far as I’m willing to go
The film will be shot in 3D, and the first images seen in the trailer (although not much is shown) look pretty nice in deed. This movie does give them the chance to introduce the entire Peanuts cast to the big screen, and the audience will be able to experience elements of the cartoon in a whole new way, confirms Paul Feig, Producer. He has also said that they will be keeping it “contemporary”, which is nice to hear so hopefully they will be keeping as true as one can to a newspaper cartoon strip.
