Quick Time Reviews: ROCCAT Kone Pro Air

Pros

  • 3 different connection configurations (direct connect, USB transmitter, Bluetooth) allow versatility not seen in many mice and allows you to connect it however you’d prefer.
  • Lighting customization allows you to make it YOUR mouse even when using it via wireless connection.
  • Insanely lightweight (seriously I am still shocked when I pick it up) allow for more freedom in movement than other mice I’ve used (including the Kain 100 AMIO).
  • Scroll wheel is the best I’ve ever used, it’s smooth and the slight clicking each time it scrolls feels precise in a way no other mouse has provided to me.
  • Ergonomic feel doesn’t cause any cramping when using it for longer sessions (or even office uses). Buttons are easy to get to for my smaller hands and I never “false click” like I have on other mice.

Cons

  • Firmware updates require a multi step process (first the USB dongle, then needing to directly connecting the mouse via USB cable).
  • Battery does not seem to last the 100 hours noted (I’ve had to charge mine twice already using the USB dongle and custom light settings)
  • USB storage spot in mouse
