Shadows of Mordor gets pushed forward one week

Because there hasn’t been enough changes in release days, developer Monolith Productions announced today that it will be moving Middle-Earth: Shadows of Mordor forward one week and will leave the busy October to release on September 30th.

That is unless you’re picking it up on PC, in that case it’s October 2nd. The game will also be released on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. Publisher Warner Bros. said that moving the game forward was a decision based on the fans excitment, it also probably was due to the heavy nature of October, a month that sees the release of Evolve, Alien: Isolation, The Evil Within and Sunset Overdrive among others. The month has been getting lighter as of lately though. Before Shadows of Mordor, Battlefield: Hardline was delayed to 2015 and Dragon Age: Inquisition to November.

While you wait to dive in J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit’s world once more, check out the game’s story trailer.
