In Summary
I was very surprised when Konami announced a remake of Silent Hill 2 done y Layers of Fear team Bloober Team. To be honest those games never gelled with me and the trailers failed to hype me up for the game. Boy was I wrong! The game not only is an excellent remake of the original, its new touches here and there make it a far scarier game than its oringal iteration. While that first hour is a bit of a breeze to get through, once you really sink your teeth (or board) into the game you realize what an excellent game this is on its own. I hope that we get to see Silent Hill 3 and (hopefully) 4 remade like this as well and hopefully iron out the small little frame hiccups and improve upon those classics as well. This is the horror game to play this October for spooky season, and a great re-introduction to the town of Silent Hill.
