Starting this May, everyone’s favorite wall-crawler will be revisiting his early days in a five-part miniseries entitled The Amazing Spider-Man Year One: Learning to Crawl. As Newsarama.com reports, the series will run simultaneously to the main series, and will be numbered from 1.1 to 1.5. Don Slott will write both series and the mini-series will feature art by Ramon Perez. The series will also feature a new villain for Peter to face off against.
The series will focus on filling in missing points in Spidey’s early days, when asked by The AP, Slott described the mini-series as “A very pivotal and crucial story that lovingly respects everything that went on but tells you more, so much more about Spider-Man and so much more about Peter Parker.” Learning to Crawl will take place within the classic Amazing Spider-Man comics from Stan Lee and Steve Ditko.
