The hotly anticipated sequel to Gareth Evans’ The Raid was given its first reveal today in the form of an action-packed, blood splattering, wall punching teaser trailer.
Berandal, the sequel to the well received Indonesian martial arts flick, sees Gareth Evans, director and proclaimed Kingpin of Indonesian cinema once again team-up with Pencak Silat master Iko Uwais. The events of Berandal follow directly on from The Raid as Uwais’ Rama attempts to foil the activity of his own police force’s corruption and infiltrate a deadly crime syndicate.
Not much else is known as of yet, but from the trailer below, it is sure to pack one hell of a punch much like the first film while also providing raw seamless choreography with a collection of vicious foes for Rama to take on in hand-to-hand combat.
