The Comic Wish List: 17th September 2014

Welcome to the fifthteenth instalment of the weekly feature bringing you comic book previews on what we are looking forward to each and every week. The general rule will be that we will pick one indie, one DC and one Marvel and if merited an honorable mention (or two).

So if you are deciding how to spend your money this week on New Comic Book Day, don’t worry, we got you covered!! Here are a handful we think you should pick up!

STK650073Multiversity: The Society of Super-Heroes

Written by: Grant Morrison

Art by: Chris Sprouse

After last month’s truly mind boggling first ‘bookend’ issue of Multiversity, we get in to the meat of things this week and we get to visit some different Earths. This exploration will be of Earth-20 and I am sure we will be in for some different takes on familiar characters with Morrison’s take on them as we all know and love (well most of us anyway).

THORGOT2012025-DC11-09482Thor: God of Thunder #25

Written by: Jason Aaron

What an amazing series, and after the last issue I don’t know how this is going to top it for this final issue. We all know what is planned for Thor and hopefully this will address that. Let’s also hope we get some closure on the 3 different timelines. It’s not only Aaron that has made this series so great, Esad Ribic has been killing it on this book and it’s a shame he won’t be on the new book, so let’s just take one last chance to appreciate this great creative team.

This is a book I am excited for. I love the way it looks, it reminds me of a cartoon from childhood that I just can’t put my finger on. Either way it looks great and the premise sounds fun. Our protagonist, is a half witch and she makes a wish on her birthday while blowing out her candles that makes her parents disappear and she has to go off to a faraway world in search of them. Sounds like a good fun adventure book to me. I’m in!

Which books are you looking forward to this Wednesday, let us know in the comments……
