Booster Gold: Futures End #1

Written by: Dan Jurgens

Art by: Various

Who doesn’t love a bit of Booster Gold? It seems like a long time ago since we last saw him in the DC Universe, but he’s back from some form of time travelling adventure we can only assume. And people guess what, this may be a one shot for futures end but as announces last week we will be seeing a lot more of him in Justice League 3000, so let’s see what Dan Jurgens has in store for favourite time hopper.

MAG2014010-DC11-39ba1Magneto #10

Written by: Cullen Bunn

Art by: Javier Fernandez & Gabriel Hernandez Walta

Magneto has been one of the standout books of the Marvel Now relaunch early in the year. Unfortunately, it seems to be getting very little praise despite its incredibly high quality from issue to issue. This week sees the continuation of the March to Axis from where we left of last week. Magneto is continuing to discover Mutants being marched off to re-education camps, which touch him in a way which writer Cullen Bunn has been exploring via his Jewish ghetto roots to magnificent emotional effect. How this all ties in to Axis is yet to be seen and could just be a classic banner to pull in the reader, either way its one you should be reading.

butterfly-1-phil-noto-11898Butterfly #1 (of 4)

Written by: Arash Amel & Marguerite Bennett

Art by: Antonio Fuso

Publisher: BOOM!

Another new limited series from BOOM!, and this one sounds spectacular. BOOM! tells us we are going to love it because of the creative team and it is set in a web of global conspiracy, sounds good to me. So what’s it about? Well Butterfly is a deep cover agent with no personal effects with regard to herself, when her cover is blown she is set up for a crime she did not commit only to be led to her father’s doorstep, a man she thought died 20 years ago! DAH DAH DAH!! It has a solid creative team and an exciting solicit, so what’s not to look forward to?

Which books are you looking forward to this Wednesday, let us know in the comments……
