Written by: Geoff Johns

It’s here! It’s finally here. This new brand spanking new issue of Superman can not come quick enough. It has been a while since I have picked up a Superman New 52 book, which is sad. It is easy to criticise what has happened to the previous run of Superman in the New 52, but now is the time to look to the future. Johns is one of the most accomplished modern day writers, and he is now gonna be tackling DC’s flagship character again. Johns has a good history with the character with Secret Origins and a run on Action Comics to name a few. And now he is in the driving seat once more. Teaming up with Romita Jr, a powerhouse of an artist working on his first ever DC book, and what a book to debut on . I refuse to believe this book will be bad!DC have also been bigging this book up over recent weeks, with a few preview pages at the end of pretty much every book on the shelf.

Original Sin: Hulk vs. Iron Man
Written by: Mark Waid & Kieron Gillen
Art by: Mark Bagley & Andrew Hennessey
EVERYBODY HAS ONE… that is the tag line for this Original Sin tie-in. I for one am loving the main series and find this tie-in really intriguing. In Original Sin #3 we see the eye of The Watcher reveal “sins” of all who were around at the time of the eye exploding and in this sequence we see Hulk shout “Hulk… Smash… Stark” This is what I assume leads into this tie-in series. The preview pages indicate that there is at least one huge fight and what’s not more fun to watch than Hulk chasing Tony Stark brutally. With both these writers leaving Hulk and Iron Man respectively, they are essentially uniting together to tell the story of their two characters for one final time. Go pick this up as it seems there is a potential change to Hulk’s origin, or rather a new piece inserted into it.

Written by: Robert Kirkman
Art by: Paul Azaceta
A hundred odd issues of Walking Dead and a hundred odd issues of Invincible, we could be in to something special with the launch of Robert Kirkman’s new image series Outcast. The series will revolve around Kyle Barnes, a guy who has been dealing with demonic possession his entire life. Up until now he had been dealing with it but now at his lowest he doesn’t want to deal with it anymore. He wants to make his life better. Kirkman has described it as “a big epic story involving exorcism and demonic possession”. He will be trying to put his own unique take on the genre of horror fiction and I for one am excited to pick this up especially as it has already been optioned for a TV series (so it must be pretty decent). Also it is 40 pages so a lot of bang for your buck!
Which books are you looking forward to this Wednesday, let us know in the comments……
