cyborg1Cyborg #1

Written by: David Walker

Art by: Ivan Reis & Joe Prado

Publisher: DC

This book is a long time coming!! Since the New 52 launch in 2011, Cyborg has become a major player in the Justice League and the DC Universe as a whole, so we thought it would only be a matter of time till he received a solo series. 4 years later and the New 52 no longer exists, and finally we have a Cyborg solo series, yay! The sneak peak of this series a couple of months ago was really intriguing and introduced us to alot of changes for Vic, I can’t wait to see where this series is going to go! Plus Ivan Reis on art!!

cowl11Cowl #11

Written by: Kyle Higgins & Alec Siegel

Art by: Rod Reis

Publisher: Image

Last issue! Sad days! I remember when I read issue one of this series and was blown away by the concept and the spectacular art. 9 issues later and I am still blown away by it! The story has been dark and intense, the pages have looked beautiful, yet I sit here slightly underwhelmed by what this series became, when I know what it could have become! But that doesn’t matter, the series as a whole has been a great experience and I for one can’t wait to pick up this final issue!

wolf1Wolf #1

Written by: Ales Kot

Art by: Matt Taylor & Lee Loughridge

Publisher: Image

I love Ales Kot, well not him, just his work! To me he can do no wrong, and that is why I am way too excited for this new series from him hitting the shelves tomorrow! Kot’s biggest appeal is his ability to take ideas and write them in a completely novel way and each series he writes is completely different from one another. Wolf is about a paranormal detective that comes across a girl that has apparently has the ability to cause the apocolypse, nothing crazy new but I cant wait to see what Kot does with it!

infiniteLoop04-cvrAThe Infinite Loop #4

Written by: Pierrick Colinet

Art by: Elsa Charretier

Publisher: IDW

The Infinite Loop has gone from strength to strength, and for me it is the break-out hit of 2015. Pierrick’s knack for great storytelling is partnered beautifully by Elsa’s bright, bold artwork that captures the passion of Teddy and Ano’s relationship, and the science fiction flare that leads the action. It is refreshing to see same-sex relationships celebrated in the comic book medium and I have complete admiration for them for doing that; there are no stereotypes, only love represented in the most natural of ways. As for the story itself, I am struggling to think of something so original in recent years and the action never fails to keep you on the edge of your seat. The Infinite Loop #4 looks set to bring the most exciting elements of the series so far to a head, and the tension between good and evil will be brought straight to the mix and with any luck, Teddy will find solace in the justification of her cause.

Which books are you looking forward to this Wednesday, let us know in the comments……
