The Mad Man of Metal Gear himself Hideo Kojima recently was on an episode of his Jappaneese show “Kojima Station” when he decided it was time to blow some minds. He unveiled a comparison map showing the size of just one playable are from the upcoming installment in his hit franchise Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Oh, if your wondering what all those little specks of color are with the names of all the other games in the series, they are the map sizes of every individual game.
Take that in for a second, go ahead I’ll wait. Every map from the previous games in the series fits into just one of the areas in Phantom Pain. If that isn’t enough, the way Kojima made it sound there will be multiple locations and more playable areas. I think it’s safe to say Kojima wasn’t playing around when he said that the map for Phantom Pain was 300x that of Geound Zeros. I for one can’t wait to see more from the game and be sure to check back here for all the coverage from E3 2014!
