Here at We the Nerdy, we’re embracing Orange. For some of us, Orange is the new black. Orange is your best friend, your neighbor that lends the hand, the childhood friend you don’t talk to anymore, but you still have fond memories of. It’s time to make Orange fashionable outside of prison jumpsuits. So this week on Week of Wallpapers, our theme is … Orange. Take a gander at some of the images I’ve complied for this week’s theme. Click on the image to get the full version of the image, then save it to make it your wallpaper or lock screen. After that, be awesome.
Desktop
Unlucky is a wallpaper that is an homage to Daft Punk’s single “Get Lucky.” It’s genuinely an awesome minimalist wallpaper that pleases the eye. If you don’t like daft punk, you can at least pretend this is an homage to the Lion King, because it can look like the scorching sun setting over Pride Rock.
Mister Meh’s Isometric Race is one of those wallpapers where you can find something new every time when you look at it. The close attention to detail really adds depth to which ever screen you put this on. If you have to stare at your device’s screen all day, at least make it something as cool as this.
Here’s a gift. Nostalgia. Bringing back the polygons of the old gaming eras, this wallpaper brings back memories of Smash bros (the Yoshi polygons anyone?). This serene wallpaper brings nostalgia, and color to your desktop.
Those who played video games during the grand era of the PS2 know Vice City. It was one of those games you couldn’t of missed even if you wanted to, it was all over. Bring back the sunset and the palm trees of Vice City to your desktop with this wallpaper (80s music not included).
Mobile Device
Maybe you’re in the market for wallpaper or some lockscreen wallpaper because your desktop is too cool already. Well, you’re in luck. These images should be compatible with most mobile devices, I haven’t seen if they still look good on an iPad or tablet, but still check these out and download these jaw-dropping orange pictures.
Nightmare Batman is one of those images where no matter what, you can’t help but chuckle. Because it’s the Adam West’s Batman, you have no problem believing this could be from a lost episode of the show.
Tim Sale Batman. Nuff said. Seriously, Tim Sale’s Batman: Haunted Knight cover is pretty awesome. Even if you don’t like Sale’s art you can still respect how simple but striking his art is. Most of Sale’s drawings are definitely wallpaper worthy and the orange cover to Haunted Knight is no exception.

Batman and Robin #11
Patrick Gleason’s cover to Batman #11 is one of those bad ass Batman covers, even if you didn’t like what was inside the book. If you saw Batman (or anyone for that matter) looking like this you’d definitely run, but only after admiring the awesomeness that is this cover.
For those who are sick of my Batman only wallpaper streak, here’s one for team Marvel. Francavilla’s beautiful cover of Hawkeye #12 . A true addition to anyone’s wallpaper collection.
