Major Nelson is getting the jump on Santa because he just announced January’s Games with Gold. Thanks to Backward Compatibility, all four titles will play on Xbox One, complete with multiplayer cross-play and all the next-gen features like GameDVR or in-home streaming to Windows 10.
Xbox One
Falling under the category of “criminally underplayed”, Xbox Live Gold members can download Killer Instinct: Season 1 Ultra Edition for free during the month of January. The second game is Zheros, a super-fun brawler-action game shown at GDC, will be available as a free download from January 16th to February 15th.
Xbox 360
Racing fans have plenty to play on Xbox 360, starting on New Year’s Day, DiRT Showdown will be free for Xbox Live Gold members through January 15th. The second part of the line-up surely was secured back with Deux Ex: Mankind Divided was set to release February 23, 2016 because on January 16th, Xbox Live Gold Members can download Deus Ex: Human Revolution for free through January 31st.
