You might be interested to know that there are only four instances where a character smiles in all of October’s Games with Gold. Earlier today, Major Nelson announced four (two) new games to the line up.
Xbox One
Yikes! At the top of 2015, We The Nerdy’s Sean Mesler listed Valiant Hearts: The Great War as one of the most disappointing games in 2014. Granted, this was admittedly against popular opinion. The only way to find out for sure is to play it yourself and you can do so without paying a dime starting October 1.
The happy times continue on October 16 with The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season for anyone who either hasn’t played it or had it spoiled just yet.
Xbox 360
Things don’t get terribly original over on Xbox 360. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes is free for a quick two weeks from October 1 to 15.
On October 16, The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season takes us through Hallowe’en, so I guess that makes sense.
Normally, this is where I would remind you to just start the download on all the Xbox 360 games. As Phil Spencer mentioned at Gamescom, all Xbox 360 Games With Gold titles will be backwards compatible on Xbox One when the feature goes live in November. But this is really the first month where that doesn’t matter a whole lot. Maybe November.
