Your Gaming Horoscope

Posted April 8, 2015 by Sean Capri in Video Games

What’s your sign, bae?

What’s your birthday? The answer to this question, according to a horoscope, may let you in on a little secret: are you going to have a good day or a bad day today.

For example, here’s my insightful horoscope for today, April 8, 2015

The party just can’t stop — not with you in the middle of it, anyway! Take the show on the road, because the celebration is even sweeter if you pick up a few random roamers. Grab a few friends and follow your instincts to somewhere even more fun. You’re certainly in the mood to explore new places and meet new people — and thrilling change is in the air! The good energy you bring creates an amazing positive response.

Now, I was just about to continue (gently) bashing horoscopes but this actually happens to be ridiculously fitting. Here’s why: I asked the team here at We The Nerdy to let me know what they’re playing right now. My intent: to build a horoscope reading. According to my daily horoscope, this party just can’t stop — not with me (or anyone born between July 23 and August 21 for that matter). Let’s have a look at what my crystal ball has in store for our fellow geeks.

Kaylie Woomer: Sims 2

What’s old is new again, you renaissance woman. Today, keep it cool. Keep it frugal. Don’t stress over what the kids are up to these days. Take a sip from a nice, refreshing cup of nostalgia and fall into a daydream of yesteryear. But don’t dream too long, those dishes in the sink aren’t going to clean themselves. Oh, and you should probably get a job, you mumbling fool.

Josh McCullough: Mother 3

You’ve spent countless days wondering how to best express yourself to your family, friends, and the world. It seems like generations! But today, you’re ready to share your story. Forget about the naysayers and ignore imaginary lines keeping you from your glory. It’s easier to ask for forgiveness than permission. If you know a solution for today’s problems, put on a pair of Nike’s and just do it! If you’re lucky, nobody will know the awful things you had to do in order to achieve greatness.

Your lens of life just got a little more clear, my friend. Capitalize on how much more clearly you see the world. Even though you’ve been through a lot with your core group of friends, you may feel like a bit of a loner. Don’t expect anyone to cross the bridge of life for you. Today, it’s up to you, and you exclusively, to make tomorrow possible. Also, you may have to kill a couple wolves.

Making a entrance is your bread and butter. Nobody presents themselves with more flair and fireworks than you. Own the moment. Enjoy the spotlight. Everyone’s here to see you overcome any obstacle. No mountain is too high to climb or hard to be slammed into. But beware of the highs and lows, oh powerful one. If things get tough, find a place that’s safe and just scream it out. You’ll feel better once all your problems are vaporized.

Shane Bailey: Fire Emblem: Awakening

Imagine your on a beach and you just found a clam shell. This isn’t just any clam shell, you’ve stumbled upon something special. But only you, and a few of your cohorts, know just how unique this clam shell is. Today, you’ll see the good in everyone and everything – even the ostensibly normal. And you’ll be richer for the experience. Don’t worry, you can pay me back later.

Eric Gerson: Bloodborne

I’m not going to beat around the bush here, today’s going to be a little rough. Don’t expect any care packages, you’re on your own. But when you fall off the horse, and trust me you will, don’t just get back on the horse — take 45 seconds or so to think about how to be better. And while you’re no stranger to learning the hard way, today is the most distinguished learning day of your life. Tomorrow, you will be unstoppable.

So there you have it! And it begs the question: what are you playing? Leave a comment and perhaps I’ll look to the stars and tell your fortunes, proud gamer.
