AEW Fight Forever Quick Time Review

Pros

  • Encapsulates the feeling of the old WWF No Mercy/Fire Pro Wrestling games perfectly.
  • Fun minigames that add an extra level of party-style games both online and locally.
  • Easy-to-learn controls make it a very pickup-and-play arcade game.
  • Match variety is fun, albeit limited.

Cons

  • Customization feels limited compared to other wrestling games released recently.
  • Road to Elite feels barebones and similar to PS2 era games.
  • No option for streamer mode with songs can be frustrating.
  • Lack of full entrances hurts the immersion of the game.

In Summary

Fight Forever sets out and delivers on what they said when it was announced: a successor to No Mercry on the N64. That being said, it feels like it’s stuck in the early 2000s in a lot of ways that current gen wrestling games have mastered. FIght Forever is a great start to hopefully a long franchise that continues to improve, as this is a fun party game but doesn’t have the legs to be a long term commitment.
