Alienware’s Steam Machine will arrive in September

Shortly after the announcement on last week’s Consumer Electronics Show, that they’re one of multiple companies developing Steam Machines, Alienware has confirmed their product will be launching this September. The announcement happened on Valve’s Dev Day summit, happening this week, the news broke through tweets, but the confirmation from Dell representatives, by the way of IGN, quickly followed. Alienware has not given information regarding the machine’s specs or price, but they did say they want to compete with next-gen consoles, which would put their Steam Machine at around $399-$499.

Besides Alienware, other companies partned with Valve to develop Steam Machines include Falcon Northwest, iBuyPower, CyberPowerPC, Origin PC, Gigabyte, Materiel.net, Webhallen, Alternate, Next, Zotac and Scan Computer. The prices range from $599 to over $2,500.
