Bethesda Softworks, publisher of The Elder Scrolls series, Dishonored, and the upcoming The Evil Within, announced a new free to play PC title today called BATTLECRY. Developed by a new team of theirs, based in Austin. Carrying the same moniker as the game itself, Battlecry Studios was founded by former Vice President of BioWare Austin and Executive Producer of Star Wars The Old Republic, Rich Vogel. Citing genre leading titles like God of War and Devil May Cry, Vogel describes this new title as a visceral and exciting competitive multiplayer game set in a world where traditional warfare is dead and gunpowder is outlawed. Expect a lot of variety in the way of melee combat. The twist seems to be the visionary stylings of Half-Life 2 and Dishonored Art Director: Viktor Antonov.
