Were you worried that the stellar creative team that has spearheaded Batman since the start of The New 52 would be leaving the book at some point soon? Well, fear not! Not long ago, Greg Capullo, the series’ current artist, Tweeted out the following:
I apologize if the Tweet is somewhat hard to read, but it reads “Team Batman will be together past issue 50.” The “team Batman” that is referred here likely means Scott Snyder, the writer, and Greg Capullo, the artist. Previously, the team was only signed on for just over 40 issues of the series, however, due to this Tweet, it seems that they have re-upped their contract with DC. Since they are currently on issue #27, their run will likely be pushed into 2016, barring any unfortunate circumstances that would prevent them from working on the book.
This doesn’t necessarily come as a surprise, as the duo’s Batman series is consistently one of the best selling comics from DC, month after month. It has also been received well by critics and fans alike, which have definitely helped to grow its popularity,
