A prequel to the horror game Daymare 1998, this new entry to the series features a new protagonist in Dalila Reyes, an agent for H.A.D.E.S. The game wears its Resident Evil influence on its sleeve, though it doesn’t quite match up to Capcom’s long running zombie series.

Daymare 1994: Sandcastle is a decent game, but suffers from being overly familiar and presents nothing new in the genre. The game is short (can be completed under 8 hours), but feels it’s lacking in substance. Combat is decent enough, but limited weapon variety and enemy types make it a bit repetitive. Best to wait for a sale.
