PROS:
+Looks beautiful when graphics are running smooth
+Story, Pacing, and World are great
+A lot to enjoy for classic fans and newcomers alike
+Good voice acting
CONS:
– Some technical issues and crashes
– Settings take a lot of tweaking to run well on some PCs
– Framerate issues
IN SUMMARY:
While the PC port is nice to have for those without a PlayStation 5, a stronger PC is needed to run the game well, and even then, there are some technical issues. Updates seemed to fix a lot of the crashing, but the framerate can drop, or the screen can get very blurry. When it’s doing well however, the game is a sight to behold and a lot of fun. I knew certain moments were coming but they were still highly chilling and impactful. Despite the tech problems, I would still recommend the game for most rpg lovers, especially those with ties to the original PS1 game. Just do your research and upgrade your PC as needed before rushing to a purchase.
