Following Tuesday’s reveal of Rocksteady’s newest installment in the Arkham series, we now get our first look at Batman: Arkham Knight’s key villain, The Arkham Knight. (below)
The character was brought up by Rocksteady during an interview with Game Informer. While the studio couldn’t give much away about this new character, they did point out that he is a completely new character and will also wear the signature Arkham “A” on his chest. In addition to this new character, the studio also spoke gave some more insight into the game’s story noting that the villains will team up together, but will also have their own hidden agendas during this apocalyptic night in Gotham. They also gave the answer that many have been asking since Tuesday; the Joker will not be back for the new game.
In addition to the game’s story, the video also spoke about the game’s new features such as the addition of the Batmobile and the amount of enemies that the Dark Knight will be facing. Noting that the city is “over-populated with street gangs.” Batman: Arkham Knight is the fourth game in the Arkham series, the third to be produced by Rocksteady studios, and will be the conclusion of this pivotal series.
