Today we see some breaking news from Gotham with what could be the final pieces of the casting jigsaw for the upcoming FOX TV show.
Bruce Wayne will be payed by 13 year old David Mazouz, young Bruce Wayne is rumoured to don the famous black suit in the Series finale so one can only assume that they have plans for a long running show as I can’t see him becoming the Dark Knight at such a tender age.
Mazouz, is most famous for starring along side Kiefer Sutherland in the now cancelled FOX show Touch.
The other casting news is Selina Kyle will be played by new actress Camren Bicondova, she has been described in the press release as [quote]teenage orphan who is suspicious and wholly unpredictable; a street thief and skilled pickpocket, she’s dangerous when cornered.[/quote]
Gotham is centered around James Gordon to be played by Ben McKenzie and the rest of the Gotham PD, and will have recurring characters showing up throughout the series.
This is a very interesting direction to take the show, but the most important part is that this is a Jim Gordon show and not a Batman show. They have clearly seen how the Smallville model works with the build up to the super hero, but with the age of the actor being so low I think we will have a long wait for that to come.
